The Shi de Cheng Wushu Centre of Song Shan Shaolin was established in September 2000.  This building lies at the foot of the Song Shan mountain and backs onto the Jun Ji peak; the Big Tower Temple; the Fa Wang temple; and one of the four famous, ancient Song Yang academies.  It faces the picturesque Song Yang park that has beautiful scenery of blue waters and green hills with pure air. Easily accessible, the Institute is an ideal school for transmitting Shaolin Wushu and training youth of the new era to acquire integrity and skill.

        Objective:  Promote Shaolin Wushu, provide training in both general education and martial arts to form competent young people.

        Content of programme:  Shaolin Da Hong Xiao Hong boxing and a traditional basic training; open-handed boxing, Lo Han, Ground fist; Qunicuncial pile, the sword of Bodhidharma, the stave of Bodhidarma, and various kinds of weapons e.g. the whip.

        Free combat:  Basic training, various kinds of boxing methods, throw the law; grapple; Bring to book; combat techniques such as: Taekwondo, and other practical skills.

        Hard Qi Gong: the iron hand; Shaolin Qi Gong; rendering the eight muscle groups resistant, such as the iron shirt and other techniques.

        Class presentation:  You can choose from different Kung Fu techniques, e.g. bare-fisted boxing, knife, sword, lance, stave,the traditional Shaolin syllabus and the Shaolin stipulated syllabus.

        All levels of the syllabus are available for middle and primary school students for each of the above-mentioned classes; together with computer classes, classes in law, classes of how to enrol in higher and intermediary specialised courses. The programme is half general education and half martial art education.

        Enrolment terms:  The programme is open to all young people from urban and rural areas aged between six and twenty-five years of age, who are in good health and who love Wushu marial arts. They must hold an individual identity card and be certified by the village, the street, or high authority. A two-inch photograph of the head without a hat must be supplied. Once all these things acquired, you may come to the Wushu Institute for subscription. Our institute enrols twice a year in Spring and in Summer, and you can also come as an outsider, e.g. special classes can be arranged as an external student.
